Notes from BruceDVDs:

The final night of Springsteen's VFC tour brought a unique bill to the Meadowlands, with Patti Scialfa and her band opening this homecoming show and Jackson Browne replacing REM. Bruce played in the opening set with Patti, in the second set with Browne and one of the longest headlining sets of the run. Surprise guest Eddie Vedder joined the E Street Band for a powerful trio of "No Surrender","Darkness on the Edge of Town" and Pearl Jam's "Better Man". The encore opened with three classic CCR songs dueting with John Fogerty. However, the highlight of an emotional show had to be when Browne came out for "Racing in the Street".

"He's The Boss... I'm The Employee" (a line spoken by Eddie Vedder during the show) is a terrific two cam mix. Both cameras shoot the stage at essentially the same head-on angle, but the filmers were apparently communicating and so the shots compliment each other nicely. The footage is combined with frequent transition effects, fades and split screens. Picture quality is excellent, although there is some image noise visible during the low light segments. The dubbed audio comes from a very strong audience recording.

As well as Bruce's complete set, we also get his guest spots during the other performers sets as bonus clips. Little Steven's duet with Jackson Browne on "I Am a Patriot" is also thrown in for good measure. The whole thing is authored with an intro sequence and menus.

Once again, ScrewDevil has excelled with an essential release.

This version is taken from the exact same video as version 1, this DVD from DVD Dubbing Guy is dubbed with the Crystal Cat's "Meadowlands Night". The menus and chapters are kept as they were on the original Screwdevil release. The only way you can tell the differrence is the V2.0 on the main menu. The bonus tracks have also been remastered, with the exception of "Running On Empty", as they were not part of the CC release.

Though dubbed from the CC release, the original dubbed audio was well remastered itself. At times, the differences in the audio is hardly distinguishable. The main standout of the CC version is when there is talking at the mic, its much clearer. The bass is also slightly less distorted at times. Either way, this show in one version or another is a must have.
