The penultimate stop on the 'Devils and Dust' tour was a make-up show that had been postponed and relocated due to a hurricane the previous month. The Florida fans were rewarded for the wait when two E Street Band members made guest appearances. Steve Van Zandt and local resident Clarence Clemons first came out for 'Drive All Night'. Steve returned for 'Two Hearts' and the trio reformed in the encore for 'Thundercrack'. The casino setting inspired the tour premier of 'Roll of the Dice' and rarities 'Fade Away' and 'Meeting Across the River' also made welcome returns. 'Santa Ana' was back too, dedicated to all the 'obsessive-compulsives' among the somewhat rowdy audience.
This Mad Raving Stark Film was shot with a handheld camcorder from the balcony high on the left side of the hall. It is predictably unsteady and the filmer struggles to get a clear view at times. However, when it is good, it is very very good indeed. There are some very nice close-up shots, with pleasingly clear picture quality. The sound is about as good as you would expect from a camcorder mike.
'Hollywood 05' is an average video of a memorable show.
