The Amsterdam "Screenshot Remix" - 'Travelin' with the wind at my back'

16th May 2006
Heineken Music Hall, Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Features:

- The entire show on one packed Dual Layer DVD
- Painstakingly edited so the screen fills the frame, much like my "Blood Brothers On A Stormy Night" from Milan 03 DVD
- Dubbed with PCM audio from one of the best audience tapes of the tour
- Motion menus and chapters

DVD Info:

Video:
Source is the screenshot video.
Edited in Sony Vegas 6 using the Pan/Crop tool to remove all black borders and straighten so the screen fills the entire frame. Edited frame-by-frame where necessary. There are black borders at the top and bottom though, and they'll change size occasionally.
Encoded to MPEG2 using the Mainconcept encoder - average 5.6mbps, max 8mbps at the highest possible quality settings, taking four days.

Audio:
Source is the "mrkool" audience tape
(Tascam DA-40 > analog > Yamaha 2x31 equalizer (some low boost only) > SPL Vitalizer (some small changes in the low/mid range) > Layla 24/96 > digital > Sound Forge 7 (fade in/out, normalising, some dynamic equalizing, click & crackle, editing) > WAV)

Dubbed track-by-track in Soundforge using the Time Stretch filter to match the speeds. The audience tape ran slow by around 1 sec over 5 minutes (or the video runs fast - who knows). The speed varied throughout, so it took a while. I think the dubbing is perfect.
Converted to 48k in Soundforge - no re-encoding to AC3

PLEASE NOTE: THIS DVD USES A SINGLE DOUBLE / DUAL LAYER DISC AND WILL NOT FIT ON A NORMAL DVD-R! I know that someone's going to do it no matter what I ask, but please don't re-encode this dvd to fit on two single layer discs - DL DVDs are pretty cheap now.
