Notes from info file:

This share is the verified 3rd Recorder source for the outstanding November 28th Madison Square Garden show. This has been one of the more confusing shows to sort out the multiple recorders for (partly caused by my mistaken identification of a previous source I thought was a 3rd recorder but was a duplicate of the 2nd Recorder). I believe it is straightened out at this point, what I do know for sure is this is a 3rd recorder source different than all other circulating and it is a nice addition to this show's legacy.

Recorder 1: 'Mystery Train To Madison' (River Flood / EarlMV edit) / 'mjk5510' tape trade
Recorder 2: 'Open All Night' CDR / 'wmajor2007' CDR trade source
Recorder 3: CB's 1st Generation Tape (this share)

As I was working on the 'wmajor2007' source and comparing notes with JEMS South for possible upgrades, 'E' mentioned that 'CB' had a 1st generation source in his archives and sent me a sample to compare. The sample proved to be a 3rd Recorder in the building that night. He put me in touch with 'CB' who was more than happy to e-transfer the files to me for mastering to share. Four months later I finally found time to dust them off and prep them for release.

By now we are all very familiar with this leg of the tour, these are other worldly shows with Bruce and Band firing on all cylinders night after night. This particular show has always stood as one of my favorites of The River tour, featuring the tour premiere of "Sandy" by request.
..."this guy's been yelling for this song all night in my ear back here"..."I don't know the words to it, we haven't been playing it, I'm gonna have to read these words here"...

A one off "Mystery Train" during "Detroit Medley" and a verse of the studio recorded but not released "Living On The Edge Of The World" during "Ramrod" (the complete song would not be premiered live until 32 years later at Metlife Stadium).

This is an overall excellent capture with only some minor patching needed to make this source 100% complete.

We continue to be indebted to the JEMS crew and to CB for his continued willingness to give all of us access to his extensive archives...thanks guys for all you continue to do.

Known Faults:
-Thunder Road: 4 seconds patched at start with Recorder 2
-Cadillac Ranch: 9 seconds patched at start with Recorder 2
-Hungry Heart: 2 seconds patched at start with Recorder 2
-Rosalita: 32 seconds patched at end with Recorder 2
-Born To Run: 14 seconds of tune up and intro count patched with Recorder 2
