I already had a ticket for the evening concert and was planning on meeting my son at UVA for dinner before the show. When ethiessen1 alerted me to Bruce's planned appearance at an afternoon Obama rally, I decided to leave early to try to find a ticket for the event. I arrived in Charlottesville at 10AM and easily obtained a ticket at the Obama For America office. I grabbed an extra ticket for my son, but unfortunately, he had a class that conflicted with the performance. After we had lunch together, he dropped me off at the downtown mall where I joined a sizeable crowd waiting for Bruce. I stood on line for an hour, and then waited an additional hour inside the pavilion before Bruce was finally introduced by former Virginia Governor and current Senate candidate Tim Kaine. With a three mile walk still ahead of me and general admission tickets for the arena concert, I really didn't need to spend an additional three hours on my feet, but Bruce made it all worthwhile with this excellent solo performance.
