There seems to be a couple of versions circulating for this performance, one is definitely lossy, another may be lossy but possibly appears lossy due to eq'ing.
I tapped my own tape archives traded for in the early 1980's for this release, it should be considered a good material upgrade to the circulating versions.
Besides being incomplete, there are a number of starts or ends of songs cut along with some low level distortion which all copies suffer from. I've done my best to tame it but you'll still feel it at times. "Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out" suffers from numerous drop outs that I have repaired as much as possible to make it as seamless a listen as it can be, again, all copies suffer from this but I believe this release minimizes the drop outs more than the other releases.
That's the bad, the good...overall it's a fine capture of another tremendous 1977 show, the quality is good enough I believe you will be able to overlook the drawbacks mentioned above. Samples provided...
