Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band MY FATHER'S PLACE, ROSLYN, NY July 31, 1973 WLIR FM Radio Broadcast Fanatic Records Remaster This show had been released in part on the CD "Jacksonville & My Father's House, on Great Dane's "My Father's House" and again from the Radio Station Master Tape. This is either from Great Dane or the master tape. The version I got a hold of wasn't clear which source it came from. "Sandy" has some tape degrading and there's hiss throughout. In spite of the flaws, this is definitely a classic show worth its weight in gold. Just to hear David Sancious on "New York City Serenade" is worth it to check out this show. According to Brucebase there were two shows and this one is the late show. As far as improvements, I EQued the sound just enough to give it a little extra boost along with noise reduction cutting down on some of the tape hum on the first 2 songs. Also, the version I received had some big gaps in between the tracks. I'm not sure if this was done as an attempt to separate the tracks or it was done by accident. In any case all the tracks now have a seamless flow. There was nothing I could do about the warp sound in the middle of "Sandy" but overall it's a very good listen. New artwork included. 1 4TH JULY ASBURY PARK (8:17) 2 NEW YORK CITY SERENADE (9:02) 3 SPIRIT IN THE NIGHT (6:13) 4 DOES THIS BUS STOP?
