Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band Palladium, NYC October 28, 1976 After a couple of sound adjustments which occur just after it starts, this is a pretty great audience recording. If you can stand listening to the boss for more than a couple of hours without hearing "Bobby Jean" or "Pink Cadillac" or any of that "LT/HT" schmaltz and don't need to hear Bruce doing his rough-hewn dust bowl persona than this raw, real performace might be for you. AUD>Cassette>CD-R>ME>EAC>WAV>FLAC>You This show was originally sent to me a being "Living on the Promise" from the Spectrum but it's actually the first of a three night stand, with a day off, then several more shows at the Palladium. The night after this show, which doesn't appear on "The Brucelegs" timeline is listed in Brucebase with the following sets and times and they concur with these disks. Additionally, I have an interesting book, published back in 84, and written by Patrick Humpries called "Blinded by the Light" which had the benefit of being much closer to the actual dates and events, and which notes that the 2nd night (the 29th) had a guest appearance by Gary "U.S." Bonds and on the 3rd by Patti Smith. Anyway: NIGHT (3.12)/ RENDEZVOUS (3.14)/ SPIRIT IN THE NIGHT (6.14)/ ITS MY LIFE (13.24)/ THUNDER ROAD (5.53)/ SHES THE ONE (7.35)/ SOMETHING IN THE NIGHT (4.45)/ BACKSTREETS (9.25)/ GROWING UP (6.40)/ 10TH AVENUE FREEZE OUT (4.17)/ JUNGLELAND (9.38)/ ROSALITA (12.34)/ 4TH JULY ASBURY PARK (SANDY) (6.56)/ A FINE FINE GIRL (2.51)/ RAISE YOUR HAND (3.19)/ THE PROMISE (5.22)/ BORN TO RUN (4.44) Warmest Regards Always, etc. etc. The New Guy
