We continue our journey with an alternate source upgrade to the August 14th show in Hampton, Virginia. The most common circulating Recorder 1 source ranges from quite poor to good with a number of issues. The most frustrating one being severe tape warp during "Prove It All Night" that is ultimately cut at the end. It also runs slow and sounds to have a pretty heavy amount of EQ applied likely due to a higher generational transfer. It originates from a CDR so there are not details regarding the original source transfer. This alternate Recorder 2 source, corrects the issues in "Prove It All Night" and is presented here complete absent any tape warp. Although there are close to 3 minutes of patches used from Recorder 1, only 3 seconds are actual music patches. The balance are audience and between song dialogue. In addition, this source contains almost 2 additional minutes of music at the end of "Quarter To Three". Two and a half months into the tour many consider August the sweet spot of the Darkness tour. We are not one to argue that point and this show certainly supports that view. We get the the first known "High School Confidential" and another "Sweet Little Sixteen" rave up. Thanks to the usual suspects, you know them well by now...IvannF, EarlMv, Oats1jvo and Butterking of JEMS. None of this could happen without each and every one of these folks. The biggest thanks go to Dan for making his archives available for us all to enjoy... mjk5510 Previous DS Archives Releases: Volume 01: Bruce Springsteen 1980-10-11 Chicago, IL (1st Gen) Volume 02: Bruce Springsteen 1975-09-21 Minneapolis, MN (2nd Gen) Volume 03: Bruce Springsteen 1975-08-01 Richmond, VA (Low Gen) Volume 04: Bruce Springsteen 1975-09-16 Dallas, TX (Low Gen) Volume 05: Bruce Springsteen 1975-09-16 Dallas, TX (Recorder 2) Volume 06: Bruce Springsteen 1975-11-01 Santa Barbara, CA (2nd Gen) Volume 07: Bruce Springsteen 1975-10-04 Detroit, MI (1st Gen Aud Un-circulated) Volume 08: Bruce Springsteen 1975-12-05 Washington DC (Low Gen, presumed 2nd) Volume 09: Bruce Springsteen 1975-07-25 Kutztown, PA (Low Gen) Volume 10: Bruce Springsteen 1978-05-24 Albany, NY (Recorder 2) Volume 11: Bruce Springsteen 1975-12-21 Toronto, ON (Low Gen) Volume 12: Bruce Springsteen 1976-09-29 Santa Monica, CA (Low Gen) Volume 13: Bruce Springsteen 1976-09-30 Santa Monica, CA (Low Gen) Volume 14: Bruce Springsteen 1976-10-25 Philadelphia (Recorder 2) Volume 15: Bruce Springsteen 1977-03-13 Towson, MD (Recorder 3) Volume 16: Bruce Springsteen 1978-05-27 Philadelphia (Recorder 2) Volume 17: Bruce Springsteen 1978-06-03 Uniondale, NY (Recorder 4) Volume 18: Bruce Springsteen 1978-05-23 Buffalo, NY (Low Gen Recorder 1) Volume 19: Bruce Springsteen 1978-06-08 Madison, WI (Recorder 2) Volume 20: Bruce Springsteen 1978-06-30 Berkeley, CA (Low Gen) Volume 21: Bruce Springsteen 1978-09-17 New York City, NY (Complete Audience) Volume 22: Bruce Springsteen 1978-07-29 St. Petersburg, FL (Recorder 2) Volume 23: Bruce Springsteen 1978-07-05 Los Angeles, CA (Recorder 3)
