Elvis' adopted hometown of Memphis seems to always bring out the best in Bruce and the band. This second night of a two night stand is no exception and we get one of the very best shows of tour with Steve Van Zandt joining for the final six songs of the show. Highlights include, for the second time on the tour, a drop dead gorgeous version of "Drift Away" without horns and the old Chuck Berry classic "Memphis, Tennessee" during the "Detroit Medley". This is an alternate second recorder source to EV2's "Always Special In Memphis" and comes from my 1st generation tape. It's not as close the stage as the EV2 source but is a highly listenable capture none the less. This source is complete with the exception of two spots, first, "Prove It All Night" has a splice. Even though the EV2 source does not mention it in the notes it also has a splice in "Prove It All Night". The EV2 source contains 40 seconds more where the splice is and this source contains a couple of additional seconds of the organ solo. I have chosen not to patch this source since they are both cut as the transition where the splice is using the EV2 patch was much more jarring (and since there is still a splice) than the transition without the patch. The tape flips occurred at the show within a minute of each other. Secondly, "Because The Night" is missing the start on the EV2 source, it is complete here. And finally, "Bobby Jean" is cut at the start on both sources. On the EV2 source the start is simply cut, on this source we get a few seconds of the start then a cut. The EV2 source has enough at the start to patch this source completely making it complete. Updated "Multiple Recorder Spreadsheet" included, now up to 154 shows with 377 unique recording sources....thanks to all those that have assisted in identification of multiple sources. As with all my uploads, samples and artwork included. mjk5510
