I have spent the better part of the last few years archiving my collection to Bluray and then discovered some blurays got damaged. Apparently Ridata sucks, buy Verbatims if you ever go this route. But I digress, as I rebuilt what I had to I also took a look at some of these tapes that have been sitting in the closet. I've already put out alot of these, especially from the '88 tour and the '92-'93 era. This tape is the same source as the existing Ames Night which has been out for years, with the exact same cut at the start of Jungleland. However, it does not have the way too loud processing that was done on that. I have included a spectral/frequency analysis from the old, along with spectral/frequency from this one. I don't know if it's a lower generation tape, I do know it sounds nice. I did try to equalize the volume on some tracks, raised the mid-levels on the whole thing, and did a slight pitch correction. I think you'll enjoy it. Enjoy, Ivan.
