I got this one in a trade in the late 80愀.

It愀 a powerful and long gig. They played some rare tracks, like one of the

first live versions of "Raspberry Beret", "4 The Tears In Your Eyes" and "America" !!!!

Beside that, the opener "Controversy" is a very rare opener for the 1985 tour.

I never recognized, that there were Bruce Springsteen and Madonna gueststars

untill I saw the comment below from the www.thedatabank.org site !!!

And yes, you can hear Prince say " Bruce, you wanna play some "  before a guitar solo follows 

in " Baby, I惴 A Star "


The loudness changes here and there, so it was a little difficult recording it to hd.

But it was all work worth !!!!

I did some pitchcorrection ( Audacity -4,0 ).

COMMENT : An excellent very lengthy Purple Rain concert and a very surprisingly 
good audience recording. The show contains some  unusual moments, most 
unusually 'Controversy' to open the show, a very passionate '4 The Tears In Your 
Eyes', and a full band version of 'Raspberry Beret'. Both Bruce Springsteen and 
Madonna are present for 'Baby I'm A Star', which lasts for over 15 minutes and 
includes snippets from various other tracks as well as a solo from 
Mr. Springsteen. 'The closing 'America' is a mind-blowingly funky 15 minute 
jam. Unfortunately 'Purple Rain' has been taken from the final San Francisco 
show and NOT the LA concert, and is slightly less good quality (VG). Also on 
'4 The Tears In LA' African Shark release

The second version of " 4 The Tears In Your Eyes " from my tape, is maybe not

known to some fans and to the databank site. They didn愒 mention it !!!

But it愀 different than that before.

At the end of the first version Prince said : " Thank you very much"

After the second version he said only  :" Thank You "
