It was first traded on CD-R, and in April 2009 it was freshly transferred from tape by B.L. (tape supplied by RJ). However, that transfer is inferior to the CD-R trade copy that already was in circulation; it comes from a higher generation tape and has some cuts not found on the CD-R trade copy. The quality of this new transfer by Hobbes4444 is very similar to that of the CD-R trade copy. The cuts between songs are the same but the sound quality is slightly better. -------------------------------------------------- Known faults: - Cut after "Reason To Believe" (at 4:52). Only crowd noise is lost. - Cut at the beginning of "Glory Days". Very little music is lost. Also the first about 30 milliseconds had a glitch on the right channel. I duplicated that portion from the left channel. - Cut after "Thunder Road" during the encore break (at 7:08). Only crowd noise is lost. - Apparently a cut after "Hungry Heart" (at 4:30). - Cut after "Bobby Jean" (at 4:05). Only crowd noise is lost. - Slight glitch after "Jersey Girl" (at 5:38). - Cut after "Rosalita (Come Out Tonight)" (at 16:20). Only crowd noise is lost. - Apparently a cut after "Jungleland" (at 10:05). There was also a small amount of static during "Jungleland". It was taken out and now sounds relatively seamless. -------------------------------------------------- Notes: This is an audience recording from the 15 Sep 1984 show in Philadelphia, PA. It is the complete show (almost) aside from some few edits between songs. See known faults above. This copy was transferred from analogue cassette to digital audio tape. Hobbes4444 received it in a DAT trade around 2001-2002 and transferred it to .wav in June 2016. The DAT had no indication of the analog source, but judging from the sound it's probably a 1st generation tape and it could be the same taper who recorded the 19 Aug 1984 NJ show or the same recording equipment used. The pitch ran fast and was adjusted by mjk5510 who also did some subtle remastering to add a bit of punch, especially in the vocals. The result is excellent. This transfer fits on three audio CDs. Recommend disc separation is between "The River" and "Trapped" and between "Bobby Jean" and "Jersey Girl". Enjoy, Eddy (14 Jun 2016)
