Continuing our re-visit of the opening days of the Born In The USA tour, here we have a fourth recording source for night 2 in St. Paul.

 After a day off, the pressure of both opening night and performing for the cameras to capture video footage for the “Dancing In The Dark” video, night 2 feels like a more relaxed affair with some early tour jitters still present. Bruce flubs the lyrics to “Open All Night” as well as forgetting the words to “Jungleland”. We do get the debut of three additional ‘Nebraska’ songs and the premier of “Pink Cadillac”. 

While there is an argument to be made the opening night I posted a few weeks ago, at times, competes with the quality of the best source, this source does not upgrade night 2. It’s a clean capture but much further back from the stage and lacks the punch of the best source.
