Only about 3 seconds were lost from the beginning of "Cover Me". - Sound fluctuation during "Cover Me" (between 1:28 and 1:32) - Some little distortion during "Chimes Of Freedom" (between 1:35 and 1:37). Apparently the taper set the recording level too high and then brought it back down. - Cut after "Chimes Of Freedom" (at 5:58). Only crowd noise is lost. - Cut between "Tougher Than The Rest" and "Because The Night". Only about 2 seconds were lost from the beginning of "Because The Night". - Cut after between "Light Of Day" (at 8:22). Only crowd noise is lost. - Cut between "Hungry Heart" and "Glory Days". About 17 seconds were lost from the beginning of "Glory Days". - Cut after between "Glory Days" (at 8:04). Only crowd noise is lost. -------------------------------------------------- Notes: This is an audience recording from the 12 Jul 1988 show in Frankfurt, West Germany. Three other sources have been in wide circulation, and this is a fourth source that, as far as I know, is the first time that it gets transferred from tape and put into circulation. This source (recorder 4) was transferred from analogue cassette to digital audio tape. Hobbes4444 received a DAT clone in a trade in 2002 and transferred it to .wav in June 2016. The DAT had "Analog master clone" written on it. But from listening, it might actually be from a 1st generation analogue cassette. This is the complete show (almost) aside from some edits between songs. See known faults above. The sound is excellent, as is the case with recorders 1 and 2. Recorder 3 has more hiss, due to it coming from a 2nd generation tape. All four recorders have a lot of crowd noise and clapping. This transfer fits on three audio CDs. Recommend disc separation is between "Chimes Of Freedom" and "Paradise By The 'C'" and between "Light Of Day" and "Born To Run". Enjoy, Eddy (09 Jun 2016)
