Notes: Night one of a pair of benefits for The Alliance of Neighbors of Monmouth County, benefitting local victims of the September 11 tragedy and their families. Springsteen was one of the show's many artists; over the course of the night, he joined several of them. He capped the night with a four-song set of his own before leading a finale of "Stand By Me." Also playing with Bruce were Garry Tallent (the concerts' musical director), Max Weinberg, and, on "My City of Ruins," members of the Pilgrim Baptist Church Celestial Choir. Springsteen's contributions to the evening are listed below.
