The sound was superb, which surprised me given that it was an all-star show with multiple acts. John Fogerty guests on 5 songs (four CCR/Fogerty songs plus shared vocals on "The Promised Land"), Stipe takes lead vocals on "Because the Night," Mills and Buck sit in on "Born To Run", and all band members sit in on the last two tracks. The last three tracks of disc 2 are from Springsteen's appearance at the end of REM's set (which I will torrent later if there is interest). Two songs differ from the previous night in Philadelphia -- "The River" subs for "Lost in the Flood" (bummer!) and "Bad Moon Rising" takes the place of "Proud Mary." This was recorded about halfway back on the floor, in line with the right speaker stack. I stood further back than I normally would in order to catch the full sound from the overhead monitor. There is minor crowd noise - there weren't very many people close to me.
