Twist and ShoutI donÕt know what to tell you Ð if that set list doesnÕt have you scrambling to download this, thereÕs not much I can add to change your mind. An incredible night of music on a sweltering St. Louis night, played to an adoring crowd who apparently came up with just the right mix of requests for the sign-collecting section of the evening, this was probably the best show of this final leg of the already legendary ÒMagicÓ tour. The show was out-and-out spectacular. Tell your grandchildren you were there, and play them recordings of it at the highest volume their tender ears can bear. But hopefully you wonÕt have to play them this one, which is a little audience-noisy and contains two unfortunate hiccups due to a disc change during ÒMaryÕs PlaceÓ and a weird glitch at the head of ÒTwist and ShoutÓ that cut three seconds of Bruce dedicating the final number to a young girl in the crowd named Sophie. Instead, youÕll play them the superior recording thatÕs surely forthcoming courtesy of some brilliant taper more gifted than I at coaxing excellent rather than just decent sound out of these cavernous halls. Until that recording comes along for your grandchildrenÕs sake, however, this one should stand you in good stead. Check out the sample Ð I donÕt think youÕll be disappointed. This was one for the ages. Enjoy it.
