RockinÕ All Over the World CONTRAST CLAUSE: This is from a different source than the one torrented at http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=211411.Put this recording in the Ņpossibly unnecessary uploadsÓ category: TravitzÕs version is very much in keeping with his superb Giants Stadium tapes from a few weeks back, and if youÕve downloaded his KC tape already, you probably donÕt need this. In fact, given that it sounds like a third version is on the way, you might be best advised to wait for that one, since BakerstuffÕs stellar track record suggests itÕs likely to be definitive. But some of the highlights of the tour recordings so far have been matrixes, made by folks with audio knowledge far beyond mine, and since the two Missouri shows are obviously very strong candidates for the royal treatment, I thought having multiple tapes to choose from might be useful to someone with a little ambition. This one, taped with good CS mics from the dead center of the floor, has a certain warmth and among-the-crowd feel that seems like it might fill out a matrix nicely. For all I know, thereÕs some reason this canÕt be used in such a project, but here it is. Use it as you see fit.As a final note, I just want to say that as a Springsteen fan IÕve been privileged over the years to attend, in a virtual sense, many of the best live performances of all time, thanks entirely to the efforts of tapers past and present. ItÕs an honor to be a part of that community, however small my role in it may be. Given that we tapers usually spend shows trying not to be noticed by anyone, IÕll probably never have the chance to meet any of the other guys-with-microphones in person, but IÕd like to say that my hatÕs off to all of you. There are people who havenÕt even been born yet who can look forward to hours of delight because you had the good sense to bring a recorder to these shows. Thanks so much!
