American LandI wish I had a cool, inspiring story to tell like the guy who overcame illness and the lousy SoCal public transit system to up his excellent tape of MondayÕs show on Jungleland this week, but I was feeling great, I was seeing Bruce, and pretty much everything was right in the world.  Originally I only bought tickets for Monday, but having seen possibly the best concert IÕd ever seen, it was a no-brainer to hoof it on down to Anaheim for the second night.  IÕm very glad I did.A scalped GA ticket from the parking lot put me dead center on the floor, about ten feet in front of the soundboard, where the mix sounded spectacular.  I was surrounded by some very good but fairly loud folks who youÕll be getting to know rather intimately as you listen.  Playing the tape back, I do wish theyÕd have kept it down a little, but who can blame them?  They were smack dab in the middle of what you could feel was going to be a legendary show, and naturally they were having the time of their lives.I apologize that the recording isnÕt exactly top-of-the-line Š I didnÕt exactly break out the best of equipment.  I was only planning on using my own tape as a stopgap until something better showed up on Jungleland or Dime, but since itÕs been a week and nothingÕs popped up, I figure perhaps you Springsteen nuts out there are itching for a fix.
