Documentary film directed by Taylor Hackford that chronicles two 1986 all-star concerts celebrating Chuck Berry's 60th birthday. Bruce Springsteen did not perform at these concerts. The film features concert footage, behind the scenes footage from the rehearsals for the shows, and interviews with Berry and members of his family and a number of musicians, including Bruce Springsteen.
The film was reissued on DVD in 2006. Disc 1 of this two DVD set includes the feature film, presented in a new anamorphic widescreen transfer with spectacular new DTS and Dolby Digital 5.1 audio, plus the original Dolby Stereo theatrical mix with a new introduction to the film by director Taylor Hackford and two theatrical trailers. Disc 2 includes 54 minutes of never-before-seen Chuck Berry rehearsals in DTS and 5.1 audio, plus a one-hour documentary covering the making of the film.
This deluxe set comes in a regular DVD case housed in a cardboard slipcase with embossed lettering.
