A MESSAGE TO COLLECTORS

I have set up a private discussion forum for serious Bruce Springsteen record and CD collectors. The goal of this forum is not to replace the Greasy Lake collectors subforum or the Facebook collectors group, but an alternative to these back-and-forth emails I have been exchanging with some collectors concerning in-depth discussion about certain Springsteen collectibles.

If you are interested, register on the forum and separately send me an email telling me who you are and what is your username so that I can approve your registration. I cannot explain everything here in this short message, so please let me know by email if you have any questions or comments.

Label (Cat #): Columbia (38-07595)
Format: 7"
Country: USA
Release date (Original year): – (1987)

This is a mid-nineties sunburst labels reissue. It comes in a a die-cut Columbia company sleeve.

The and the original 1987 issue (which comes in a picture sleeve) have identical labels, but they differ in the text etched into the runout groove:
Original issue, side A: "ZSS 176314-2B", "G1", and "MASTERDISK"
Original issue, side B: "ZSS 176315-2A", "G1", and "MASTERDISK"
Reissue, side A: "ZSS 176 314-1AA-SS"
Reissue, side B: "ZSS 176 315-1AA SS"

This copy's runout groove etchings: (copy #2)
-----------------------------------
Side 1 (hand-etched): ZSS 176 314-1AA-SS
Side 2 (hand-etched): ZSS 176 315-1AA SS

The "ZSS" prefix on the runout groove (and on the labels) is Columbia Records' code for 7" single stereo 45 rpm.
