HEY BO DIDDLEY

Bruce Springsteen's version

Hey Bo Diddley
Hey Bo Diddley
Hey Bo Diddley
Ooh Bo Diddley

[SHE'S THE ONE]

Hey Bo Diddley
Ooh Bo Diddley
Hey Bo Diddley
Ooh Bo Diddley

Written by Ellas McDaniel, and originally by Bo Diddley from his 1957 single HEY BO DIDDLEY / MONA. He later included it on his 1964 LP Bo Diddley's 16 All-Time Greatest Hits.

Bruce Springsteen used a snippet of the song as intro to SHE'S THE ONE on 02 Sep 1995 at the concert for the Rock 'N' Roll Hall Of Fame at Cleveland Stadium, Cleveland, OH.

According to Brucebase, BO DIDDLEY, another song by Bo Diddley, was used in 1976 (read below). However, it might be HEY BO DIDDLEY since it was probably used as intro to SHE'S THE ONE, same as on 02 Sep 1995, or a custom hybrid of both BO DIDDLEY and HEY BO DIDDLEY (read below).

The above lyrics are for the live 02 Sep 1995 performance. The first part was used as the intro and the second part was used before the song ends. Check also the original lyrics.

Thanks Timmy Peterson (Terry at Greasy Lake) for the lyrics help.
