MICKEY'S MONKEY is a song written by Brian Holland, Lamont Dozier, and Eddie Holland and originally released by The Miracles on their 1963 album The Miracles Doin' Mickey's Monkey. The song was also released as a single. The above lyrics are for the original The Miracles version of MICKEY'S MONKEY as released in 1963.

Bruce Springsteen's Version

Although he has never performed it live in full, Bruce Springsteen has occasionally used a snippet of MICKEY'S MONKEY's chorus while introducing the E Street Band members in the middle of ROSALITA (COME OUT TONIGHT) during the Darkness On The Edge Of Town Tour in 1978. See the live 03 Jun 1978 version of ROSALITA (COME OUT TONIGHT) for an example.
