Co-written by Bruce Springsteen and George Theiss (Castiles) and recorded with the band at the Brickmall Shopping Center (Mr Music Inn, Bricktown, N.J) on 18 May 1966. Along with THAT'S WHAT YOU GET, these were the first studio recordings Bruce ever made.

Compares, with THAT'S WHAT YOU GET in the very first Bruce acetate. At least 3 acetates still exist.... The song name come from Bruce's nickname in that period.

I think this is the inferior of the two Castiles studio tracks, Baby I is a song that sounds very much like an early Beatles number. However, it perfectly captured the pop sensibilities of The Castiles.
