I added some fades and made it run together as one set. The set list is standard for the February of 1977 (not that it’s bad thing). This is one of the better recordings not recorded by Steve Hopkins on the short '77 tour. There is some talking throughout but doesn't really interfere with the overall enjoyment of the show. I didn't EQ at all. There is a fair amount of tape hiss. This show is highlighted a passionate reading of The Animals "It's My Life". Notice in the story introduction the modulation of Bruce's voice when he says "Where I Got My Money From" and "What I Thought I was Doing With Myself" and during the song when he sings “Openly Lie”. It’s a chilling insight to the relationship between Bruce and his father. There is also a hilarious moment during 10th Ave Freeze-out where a bum note from one of the horns draws a reaction from Bruce. Known Faults: Small Cut during Rosalita From Brucebase: "Rosalita (Come Out Tonight)" includes a snippet of "Theme From Shaft" in the midsection. This concert took place in the approximately 3,000-seat Civic Center Theatre. When Springsteen returns to St Paul in 1978, 1980 and 1984 he will perform in the larger 15,000-seat Civic Center Arena, part of the larger Civic Center complex. Audience tape available on CDR ‘And The Rain Came Tumblin' Down'. Excellent quality. Nearly 45 minutes of Super-8 colour film footage of this show is in circulation, encompassing (mostly) excerpts of eleven of the shows thirteen songs (there is no film of "Action In The Streets" or "Quarter To Three"). The film excerpts have been dubbed with the excellent audience tape and are available on the DVD ‘Bruce Springsteen: 8MM’ (Brucevideos Productions).
