Padova 2013-05-31 DVD, multicamera mix, 3-source-audio mix, 2DVDs Sample @ http://youtu.be/Mg5nvULnrVk Anyone can do a multicamera mix (that's what "the other one" showed) and everyone should! It's fun!! But in the case of "the other" multicam mix and the people involved boycotting to exchange footages their own and my multicam mix missed a lot of potential. That's stupid! Still, here comes my edit of this show which does the show much more justice in terms of video and audio quality. Simon: This was your hometown gig. This is your film! Thanks for your great video contributions to my multicams! And thanks for talking to your friend and trying to convince him to exchange sources. But some you can't help... I am so happy that most people are fine people like you who made this film and all my other films possible and were part of the inspiration for Bruce making the 2014 shows available and opening the archives. Filmed by: Simon, Carlos do Carmo, Mark Steven, Rod, springsteenbrothers, SpikeVince, recunond and some youtubers. Others, for obvious reasons, not mentioned in the credits. fedeud wanted to send me his master but due a hard disc crash it got lost. Always backup your films on a different storage/computer! He would have sent me the dvd he made from his master but you know me...I work with HD footage only and only use SD footage or lesser quality footage if there is no other option. A note on the audio: This is the second installment of shows I let a friend of mine master who is a professional (Gothenborg comes from another friend so this comes from the guy who did the fabulous Rome mix). The available 3 audio sources have been mixed together. The pre-show is a mix-mash of all sources available (cam audio and the other sources who all start at a different point) to make the pre-show complete and sounding as good as possible. Some notes: I received one master (Mark Steven) when I was already done with editing the show and as you know me I went back to editing to improve the mix. Well, I didn't start from scratch and "just" added the new source but still this was quite time intense. It would have made much more sense to work with all sources from the start but better a late addition than a source "lost". The new complete shoot only offered a few good shots but each additional shot really makes a multicam mix that is made of mainly shots without tripod A LOT BETTER. So, besides fedeud's lost film, the stupid guy with the logos and the other editor who boycotted to work together and exchange sources this film turned out GREAT!! The rain makes the images of some songs really unique. The show was awesome and so was the atmosphere. The singalongs during Growin'up and the fantastic versions of The ghost of Tom Joad, Thunder road, Backstreets, Jungleland are standouts to me. The audio mix is excellent. You will enjoy this one. What's next? I don't know. As per usual I face many holdups (people not sharing their recordings, etc.). The Kilkenny IEMs have been sold to Godfather, others keep their sources for themseves, etc... I am still thinking of what to do with my other projects... Besides the ones you know of a possible future project may be MILANO 2007 I dubbed a lot of dvds but never did a multicamera mix with SD sources. I started editing Bruce shows in 2009 when HD cameras became affordable, portable and started making good images. But now I might create one multicamera mix that will be completely sourced from SD sources (mini-dv) and that one could be Milano 2007 which is in my opinion the only show/video that may be worth the trouble. I already have three of the master recordings in hands and one master->dvd transfer. I constantly get requests to re-edit some old shows (the famous MSG '09 River show for example) but I don't have the source tapes for those and I never watched them anyway because the recordings are of too low quality in my opinion. But this Milano 2007 show has some real great and steady shots so this one might be worth it to edit it from scratch. Not because I am not happy with the multicamera mix from Amos but I have one additional excellent video source for the mix which was back then not used on any of the multicamera mixes and I know I can do a better mix. Also with the incredible newly released Telecaster audio source (which is one of my all time favourite audience bootleg recordings!) this video could turn out lovely. I have Max's, fedeuD's and Q+S's master recordings in hands. Bruga lost his master but sent me a straight master->dvd transfer. I am now looking for Marisa's recording but I don't know Marisa. If you read this Marisa, or if you know Marisa please get in touch with me. Amos, as per usual, is no help. He has the masters, or copies, in hand but well, it's Amos... Besides the fact that he still owes me he is not even interested in trading for an excellent new Milan' 12 video source. He could make a huge upgraded version of his Milan' 12 video but well...lack of ambition? If you know of any other good and steady sources from Milan' 07 besides the ones I already have please let me know.
