Live 30 Oct 2007 version
[Spoken intro:] Happy Halloween Eve! Is there anybody alive out there? (cheers) Is there anybody alive out there? (cheers)
One, two!
I was trying to find my way home
All I heard was a drone
Bouncing off a satellite
Crushing the last lone American night
This is radio nowhere, is there anybody alive out there?
This is radio nowhere, is there anybody alive out there?
I was spinning 'round a dead dial
Just another lost number in a file
Dancing down a dark hole
Just searching for a world with some soul
This is radio nowhere, is there anybody alive out there?
This is radio nowhere, is there anybody alive out there?
Is there anybody alive out there?
I just want to hear some rhythm
I just want to hear some rhythm
I just want to hear some rhythm
I just want to hear some rhythm
I want a thousand guitars
Pounding drums
Million different voices speaking in tongues
(Yeah!)
This is radio nowhere, is there anybody alive out there?
This is radio nowhere, is there anybody alive out there?
Is there anybody alive out there?
I was driving through the misty rain
Searching for a mystery train
Bopping through the wild blue
Trying to make a connection with you
This is radio nowhere, is there anybody alive out there?
This is radio nowhere, is there anybody alive out there?
Is there anybody alive out there?
I just want to feel some rhythm
I just want to feel your rhythm
I just want to feel your rhythm (I just want to)
I just want to feel your rhythm (I just want to)
I just want to feel your rhythm (I just want to)
I just want to feel your rhythm (I just want to)
The above lyrics are for the live 30 Oct 2007 performance of RADIO NOWHERE at Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena in Los Angeles, CA, during the Magic Tour. The song was played in its full-band album arrangement.
Echoing 31 Oct 1980 Halloween show at this same venue, Springsteen once again came on stage in a coffin. A half-dozen crew members dressed as zombies served as pallbearers, Springsteen's hand rose up to take his guitar, the coffin tipped forward and off he went into RADIO NOWHERE. The pro-shot video clip was made available on BruceSpringsteen.net.
