Bruce Springsteen contributed in the recording of TAKE A LOOK AT MY HEART, providing backup/harmony vocals during the chorus. The recording took place in May 1991 at Huh Sound Theater in Los Angeles, CA.
Besides its inclusion on The Missing Years album, John Prine's studio version of TAKE A LOOK AT MY HEART was also included on some John Prine promotional releases in the US and the UK.
