Southside and Springsteen: | Come on, let the good times roll |
Come on, let the good times roll
Southside and Springsteen: | Soothe me, baby, soothe me |
Soothe me with your kindness
For, you know, your powerful loving is
Soothing to me | |
Southside Johnny: | How I used to ramble (yes, you did!) |
How I used to roam (are you ready, now?)
Bruce Springsteen: | Ever since I met that baby of mine |
All I do is stay at home | |
Southside Johnny: | Everybody, now |
Southside and Springsteen: | Soothe me, baby, soothe me |
Soothe me with your kindness
For, you know, your powerful loving is
Soothing to me | |
Southside Johnny: | Now, I just want to say one more thing |
I used to have a lot of girls (oh, yes, he did)
Have them, big and small (uh, huh)
Bruce Springsteen: | Since I met this little baby of mine |
I don't know no girls at all
Southside and Springsteen: | Soothe me, baby, soothe me (Come on, now) |
Soothe me with your kindness
For, you know, your powerful loving is
Soothing to me | |
Southside Johnny: | Oh, baby, baby |
Southside Johnny: | Oh, yeah! |
Bruce Springsteen: | It's too late, now! |
Southside Johnny: | Go down to the bar for me, now |
Bruce Springsteen: | Because I can! |
Southside Johnny: | Yeah, that's right |
Bruce Springsteen: | Oh, baby, baby, no they don't... They put me into a... little thing... And said... Baby, wake up! They said, hey, baby, wake up! Southside Johnny, why don't you used the thing and wake up? Come on, baby, got to wake up! |
Now, come on, baby, wake up!
Don't wait! | |
Yeah, baby! | |
Southside Johnny: | Come on, baby! |
I don't want to wake up! | |
I don't want to give it up!
Oh, said I'm feeling all right now
I still feel so good right now, baby
I swear I am happy tonight, and I don't want to give it up!
And I want it so bad! | |
I want things to work out!
I, don't want to work out
I, oh... | |
Southside Johnny: | How I used to ramble |
Bruce Springsteen: | How I used to roam |
Southside and Springsteen: | Since I met this baby of mine |
All I do is stay at home | |
Southside and Springsteen: | Soothe me, baby, soothe me |
Soothe me with your kindness
For, you know, your powerful loving is
Soothing to me | |
Southside and Springsteen: | Soothe me, baby, soothe me (yeah, yeah) |
Soothe me with your kindness
For, you know, your powerful loving is
Soothing to me | |
For, you know, your powerful loving is
Soothing to me | |
For, you know, your powerful loving is
Soothing to me | |
Southside Johnny (spoken outro): | Play that thing, baby! Yeah, oh, baby! |
