Live 16 May 1993 version
[Spoken intro:] Ein Gebet für Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Well long as I remember the rain's been pouring down
Clouds of mystery falling, confusion on the ground
Good men through the ages, they try to find some sun
But still I wonder, still I wonder, who'll stop the rain
Go!
Well I went down Virginia seeking shelter from the storm
Caught up in the fable, we'd watch the tower grow
Bobby planned a new deal, yeah wrapped in golden chains
Lord I wonder, still I wonder, who'll stop the rain
Go!
(Woo hoo hoo, woo hoo hoo)
I heard the singer singing, yeah how we cheered for more
Crowd they'd rush together just trying to keep warm
Still the rain kept falling, falling through the years
Still I wonder, still I wonder, who'll stop the rain
The above lyrics are for the live 16 May 1993 performance of WHO'LL STOP THE RAIN at Alter Flughafen Riem in Munich, Germany, during the World Tour 1992-1993. The song was played in a full-band arrangement. Springsteen introduced it saying in German "Ein Gebet für Bosnia-Herzegovina" ("A prayer for Bosnia-Herzegovina" in English), in reference to the Bosnian War that was taking place at the time.
