The song was performed by John Fogerty. He was backed by Bruce Springsteen on guitar and harmony vocals, Robbie Robertson (of The Band) on guitar and harmony vocals, Benmont Tench (of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers) on keyboards, Roy Bittan on keyboards, Don Was on bass, and Jim Keltner on drums.
Creedence Clearwater Revival were among that year's inductees into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. The following day Springsteen provided the induction speech for the band.
