Get up, stand up, don't give up the fight
Get up, stand up, stand up for your right

Take away everything and make everybody feel high

GET UP STAND UP is 1973 song by The Wailers. See the original The Wailers version for more details.
The above lyrics are for the (second) live 15 Oct 1988 performance of GET UP STAND UP at River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires, Argentina, during the Amnesty International Human Rights Now! Tour. As was the case on each of the tour's shows, the song was performed twice, opening the proceedings in a stripped-down version featuring Bruce Springsteen, Peter Gabriel, Tracy Chapman, Sting, and Youssou N'Dour, and closing in a full-band version featuring the same artists plus León Gieco and Charly García, and backed by the E Street Band. The song featured some lines in Spanish: "Derechos humanos / Derechos humanos ya / Derechos humanos / Para siempre ya" which translate to "Human rights / Human rights now / Human rights / Forever now", "Juntos" which translates to "Together" (Sting encouraging the crowd to sing along), and "¡Más fuerte!" which translates to "Stronger!".
The Amnesty International Human Rights Now! Tour was a worldwide series of twenty benefit concerts on behalf of Amnesty International that took place over six weeks in September and October 1988. The concerts were held not to raise funds but to increase awareness of Amnesty International and to publicize the 40th anniversary of the Universal Declaration Of Human Rights (UDHR). They were billed as "A Concert For Human Rights Now!" and featured Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Sting, Peter Gabriel, Tracy Chapman, and Youssou N'dour.
The 15 Oct 1988 show in Buenos Aires, Argentina, was the last date of the Amnesty International Human Rights Now! Tour. It took place at River Plate Stadium and was broadcast worldwide live on the radio. Video segments were broadcast as part of "The Human Right Now Tour" documentary which debuted on 10 Dec 1988 on HBO in the United States, WDR in West Germany, and other TV channels around the world.
The 15 Oct 1988 broadcast from Buenos Aires (Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band's set) was commercially released in Europe. Since 2005 some enterprising record labels in Europe (mostly in the UK) have been releasing Bruce Springsteen radio and TV broadcasts (and some soundboard recordings) from the seventies, eighties, and nineties. Though these releases are not authorized by Bruce Springsteen or his record company, they are lawful due to a legal loophole in Europe.
The 15 Oct 1988 show was partially released in 2013 on various CD and DVD releases benefiting Amnesty International. The released songs on which Bruce Springsteen appears are his performance of EVERY BREATH YOU TAKE with Sting during Sting's set, his performances of BORN IN THE U.S.A., I'M ON FIRE, THE RIVER, and RAISE YOUR HAND with the E Street Band, plus the joint renditions of TWIST AND SHOUT, CHIMES OF FREEDOM, and GET UP STAND UP.
Other versions of GET UP STAND UP were also officially released.
GET UP STAND UP was performed 40 times during the 20-date-long Amnesty International Human Rights Now! Tour. The song was performed twice on each date, opening the proceedings in a stripped-down version featuring Bruce Springsteen, Peter Gabriel, Tracy Chapman, Sting, and Youssou N'Dour, and closing in a full-band version featuring the same artists and sometimes other additional artists too, and backed by the E Street Band. The setlist for the 14 Oct 1988 show in Mendoza, Argentina, is unknown, but it is assumed that the song was performed on that date, twice, just like it was on all other dates.
GET UP STAND UP was performed off-tour on 10 Dec 1998 at Palais Omnisports De Paris-Bercy in Paris, France, during a benefit show for the Amnesty International Foundation. The song was performed with Peter Gabriel, Tracy Chapman, and Youssou N'Dour. This live 10 Dec 1998 version was first officially released on The Paris Concert For Amnesty International: The Struggle Continues... home video in 1999. See the live 10 Dec 1998 version for more details.
